Sasol launches its first Sasol League commentator search

As part of empowering women in football through their ongoing #Limitless initiative, Sasol and the South African Football Association (SAFA) have launched the first Sasol League commentator search in the hopes of discovering two of the best female commentators in South Africa. The likes of leading broadcast media commentator, Brian Mofokeng, former Banyana Banyana captain Amanda Dlamini and former Banyana Banyana star, Lydia Monyepao have been signed-up to judge the competition.

The two selected winners will receive the opportunity to commentate all of the 2018 Sasol League National Championship games on the Sasol League Facebook live stream, from Tuesday, 4 December 2018 until Sunday, 9 December 2018. The competition kicks-off on Monday, 19 November 2018 and runs until Monday, 26 November 2018.

Thrilled to be part of the search, Amanda Dlamini commented, “What a great initiative by Sasol and SAFA. It’s good to know that commentators can also receive such opportunities and that the attention is not only on footballers. As a woman who aims to inspire others, it’s a privilege to be part of such an initiative because I know the winners will benefit and receive exposure. Thank you to Sasol for creating this opportunity, I wish the best of luck to everyone who will be entering the competition, may the best women win.”
