The away victory in Tanzania was followed by a resounding 1-0 win at the Mbombela Stadium.

The first leg of the Olympic qualifier saw Sasol Banyana Banyana deliver a masterclass performance in Dar es Salaam, where they emerged victorious with a 3-0 scoreline. Goals from Thembi Kgatlana, Hildah Magaia, and a sensational strike from Seoposenwe showcased the team’s attacking prowess and determination to secure their place on the grandest stage in world football.

Returning to home soil at the Mbombela Stadium, Banyana Banyana continued their winning form in front of an enthusiastic crowd. The team demonstrated exceptional cohesion and skill, with a goal from Thembi Kgatlana sealing a comfortable win over Tanzania. The win not only solidified an advance to the Olympic qualifier match but also marked a historic moment for Jermaine Seoposenwe as she celebrated her 100th cap in the green and gold jersey. Jermaine Seoposenwe, an inspiration for South African women’s football, reached the remarkable milestone, a testament to her enduring commitment, skill, and leadership on the pitch. Her influence was evident throughout the two-leg encounter, providing inspiration to her teammates and leaving an indelible mark on the historic achievement.
